Work accident compensation can be evaluated within the scope of the employer's obligation to look after the worker.The employer's liability to cover the employee includes the liability of the employer to take all measures related to occupational health and safety at the workplace. In this context, employers should take all kinds of precautions in the workplace, keep the tools and equipment completely, and the workers must comply with all precautions regarding occupational health and safety.

Definition of occupational accident; is made in Article 13 of Social Security and General Health Insurance Law No. 5510.Under the Article, incidents occurring while in the insured workplace and making the insured employee current or later physically or mentally disabled are called work accidents.

If the insured works independently for his or her work and on behalf of the employer, the incidents that occur due to this work and bring the worker to a physical or mental disability at that time or later are called work accidents.

İIf the worker is working for the employer and sent to a place other than the place of work for which he / she is employed, then the events that occurred during the time elapsed without performing his / her work and that bring the worker to a physical or mental disability at that moment or later are called work accident.
